The Belarusian State Medical University constantly works to seek new partners and strives to expand the network of bilateral and multilateral agreements in the field of student mobility. However, the university doesn’t forget about the old partners, the years of cooperation with which have proved to be effective. One of such partners is the Medical University of Bialystok – BSMU partner for international cooperation since 2005.
Today as in 2005 both universities define the main task of student exchange programs as the internationalization of higher education and the cultural integration of young people from different countries. And for more than 10 years, both universities have successfully coped with the task, sending students to Bialystok and Minsk on a parity basis to pass part of their clinical practice.
From July 4 to July 13, 2018, the fifth year students of the Medical University of Bialystok underwent clinical practice in surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, therapy, cardiology, pediatrics. Students studied at the Department of Cardiology and Internal Diseases, the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the 1st Department of Pediatric Diseases. During the period of practice students had the opportunity to attend clinical rounds and consultations of faculty members of the departments, assist in various surgical operations.
