Within the period from May 27 to June 9 the 5th year students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty Yevgeny Bulava, Anna Dabrinskaya, Elisaveta Lepskaya, Ekaterina Pakhomova underwent the practical training on Quality Control and Standardization of Drugs at the First State Medical University named after I.M.Sechenov (Institute of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry named after A.P.Arzamastseva) within the framework of Bilateral cooperation agreement.
The tutors from Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry named after A.P.Arzamastseva developed interesting and diverse program, which included not only lectures of highly qualified teachers, but also practical sessions.
The students had the opportunity to visit one of the research institutes of Sechenov University - the Institute of Pharmacy and Translational Medicine. The main target of the research work of the Institute is to introduce the scientific achievements of biopharmaceuticals in clinical practice. Institute of Pharmacy and Translational Medicine includes the scientific, production and technological structures (5 laboratories and 2 divisions); it is equipped with the modern hi-tech devices and clinical facilities.
Students were fortunate to visit the Center for Pharmaceutical Analytics - GLP-certified laboratory that performs high-quality research in the development and control of innovative and generic drugs. This center monitors the bioequivalence of drugs using HPLC, ELISA and other methods.
In addition to interesting training program students were lucky to visit the main sights of Moscow: the Kremlin, Red Square, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Armoury Chamber, Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh), Moscow State University and others.
The BSMU partners from Sechenov University managed to generate a friendly atmosphere and it was great pleasure to collaborate with the academic staff and students of the Moscow State Medical University named after I.M.Sechenov and other universities of Russia, students of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and from German universities.
During the period of practical training the BSMU students not only acquired new knowledge, but also got the opportunity to put it into practice using modern equipment. At the end of the practical training BSMU students were awarded certificates.
