Spending summer weekends at the Town Hall became a good tradition for foreign students living at the BSMU dormitories. Culture Days at the Town Hall are popular not only with Minsk citizens, but also with foreigners because it is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of other countries without leaving Belarus. Concerts and performances, exhibitions and fairs, national food and beverage are crucial attributes of the holiday. But each country amazes the guests in its own way. Guests of the Culture Days have an opportunity to learn history and rituals, try on national costumes, take part in workshops on cooking national dishes, etc.
On August 18, 2018 BSMU foreign students from dormitories No. 5, 6 and 7 visited the concert “From the Baroque to the Present” within the framework of the program “Classics at the Town Hall” which became traditional open air summer event in Minsk. The concert covered four centuries including the musical works of Vivaldi and Mozart, Piazzolla and Marquez.
This is how, step by step, BSMU foreign students discover Minsk.
