On October 29 - November 1, 2019 the XXIX National Congress on Respiratory Diseases with international participation was held in Moscow. The event was attended by leading scientists from different countries of Europe, Asia, America and, of course, the Russian Federation.
It is known that respiratory diseases continue to remain socially significant diseases that affect the demographic security of states. Every year, leading world scientists present at the congress the results of innovative research on the fight against respiratory diseases on the way to a patient-oriented and economically sound model of medical care.
The scientific program included numerous schools of the Russian Respiratory Society for doctors, sections, symposiums, round tables, lectures, clinical discussions and a competition for young scientists. The meetings were held simultaneously at 5-10 venues. Schools of the Russian Respiratory Society for Doctors covered a range of issues from modern technologies for imaging respiratory diseases (including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography and digital tomosynthesis), functional diagnosis of diseases, working capacity examination, problems of diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, a new management paradigms for patients with COPD, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, treatment of severe asthma, community-acquired pneumonia before treatment arranging of cystic fibrosis in an outpatient setting, immunoprophylaxis of lung diseases in children, cryogenic methods in the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases (intraluminal and transbronchial cryobiopsy, as well as cryotherapy), etc.
