On February 14, 2020 the VII international teleconference “Actual issues of pediatric dentistry” was held in the conference hall of Belarusian State Medical University on the eve of the International Dental Day. The conference was attended by departments of 3 countries - Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan: the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Belarusian State Medical University (Minsk), the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Far Eastern State Medical University (Khabarovsk), the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of the Tashkent State Institute of Dentistry, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Over 7 years a discussion of the most complex issues and problems in pediatric dentistry has been actively held, which made it possible to share experience and develop a common concept and views on the treatment and prevention of dental diseases in children. Teleconference is not only a means of group communication, but also a promising tool. Erasing borders, it brings together colleagues from different states and allows saving the most valuable resource-time! The scientific program included reports reflecting the diverse aspects of dental work:
At the end of the teleconference an active discussion took place; questions were asked. All reports were highly appreciated by colleagues - dentists, which made it possible to bring together points of view and approaches in treatment. The conference ended with a debriefing. Intentions for further fruitful cooperation were announced.
Our professional interaction is possible only with the introduction of innovative digital technologies, when doctors are free to share the logic of actions, treatment methods and good mood. This is a unique opportunity for practicing dentists and young doctors to listen to lectures and reports by leading scientists and professors from other countries, and this event was a great success in the constant communication of 3 friendly countries!
