Modern conditions dictate the need to use new forms of educational process organization using modern communication technologies.
So in addition to theoretical classes 5th year students and clinical residents of the orthodontics department took part in educational webinars held online by renowned specialists in the field of orthodontics of the near and far abroad. At the end of the events, participants could ask lecturers questions and receive comprehensive answers live.
During the analysis of theoretical material with students in an online format, a discussion was held on the issues raised at the webinars. The content of the lectures, as well as the professional approach of speakers in presenting rather complex material, aroused keen interest among students and clinical residents who expressed their wishes to further develop this area of acquiring modern knowledge in the specialty.

Thomas Pitts, Doctor of Medicine, MSc in Dentistry is a visiting clinical professor at the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry named after Arthur Dugoni at the Pacific University in San Francisco.

Dr. Gioacchino Pellegrino, DDS, Associate Professor, Department of Orthodontics at the University of Foggia (Italy); Associate Professor, Department of Postgraduate Education in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University of Naples Frederick II is a guest lecturer at many national and international conferences and private seminars.
The webinar was devoted to the managementof a deep bite in children using LM Activator. The presentation of Dr. Pellegrino examines various models of the LM Activator and, using an example of a series of clinical cases, demonstrates how and when to correct a deep bite effectively.
Dr. Chris Chang has a PhD from Indiana State University and a diploma from the American Council on Orthodontics (ABO).
During the webinar, many complex clinical cases were considered and the author's recommendations on choosing the most simple and effective treatment tactics were presented.
