On May 28, 2020 IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Health-Improving Physical Activity among Youth: Topical Issues and Prospects” was held at the Belarusian State Medical University. The Conference was organized by the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy and the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Belarusian State Medical University in cooperation with the Department of Public Medicine, Rehabilitology and Physical Education of the Tashkent Medical Academy (Uzbekistan).
The welcoming speeches were presented by Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work of the Belarusian State Medical University P.V.Markautsan and Vice Rector for Research and Innovation of the Tashkent Medical Academy F.L.Azizova.
The foundation for fruitful cooperation between the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy (BSMU) and the Department of Public Medicine, Rehabilitology and Physical Education (TMA) was laid during the Sports Medicine Symposium at Sechenov University (Moscow, Russia) where the heads of the departments ass. prof. L.A.Malkevich and ass. prof. A.M.Usmanhodzhaeva participated.
The conference was attended by the specialists in the fields of medical rehabilitation, sports medicine, health-improving physical culture from eight countries: Israel, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and South Korea. The representatives of nine medical universities from Belarus, CIS countries and neighboring countries presented to the audience their reports on the topical issues of medical rehabilitation, sports medicine and physical culture.
The Conference attracted teaching staff who deals with the health-improving physical activities among students of the Universities.
Physical education teachers of secondary and higher educational institutions presented 28 articles and demonstrated new trends in management of educational, methodological, innovative activities and educational process.
Throughout the conference and subsequent discussion, all the participants emphasized the significance and importance of such events that offer the possibility to gain the information about interesting and useful studies and existing problems. And most significantly, the conference showed the importance of cooperation both between specialists and educational institutions.
