“Modern techniques and technologies in dentistry”. This was the theme of the international conference, inspired and organized by the Tashkent State Dental Institute. Scientists from Belarus, Russia, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and some other states participated in the videoconference, held on September 10.
It must be said that the topics of the reports were diverse. Specialists in the field of dentistry raised the problems related to the use of modular technologies in aesthetic dentistry, individual prevention of caries in adults, the etiology and treatment of “white spots” on the surface of teeth, and other aspects.
Faculty of the dental departments of the Belarusian State Medical University also presented reports on topical issues of modern dentistry for discussion by the international medical community. The report of the head of the 2nd department of therapeutic dentistry, doctor of medical sciences, professor Tatyana N. Manak was devoted to the methods of secondary prevention in Belarus, and the report of the head of the department of pediatric dentistry, doctor of medical sciences, professor Natalia V. Shakovets was devoted to the new protocol for the diagnosis of dental caries in preschoolers.
After all the reports were “read” online, they were discussed and then debated.
Summing up the results of the conference, the participants emphasized that discussing such important problems of modern dentistry allowed them to enrich their own professional and scientific experience. The knowledge acquired during the conference, for the most part, will be certainly applied in practice.
In conclusion, it would not be superfluous to note that the conference was held at the proper level and aroused genuine interest among the audience.
