During September organizational meetings with students were held at the Medical Faculty for International Students of the 1st and final courses of four specialties, studying at the Belarusian State Medical University in Russian and English.
In the new academic year, about 300 foreign students have already joined the faculty team. Approximately 180 students will be trained in Russian and 120 in English.
The purpose of these events is to assist to the former schoolchildren who have just arrived at the university in the successful adaptation to the new learning conditions, and to future graduates - to summarize the results of training and set tasks for the future in the current academic year.
Foreign students of the 1st year were divided into study groups, chief students of academic groups and streams were appointed. Responsible officials of the dean's office familiarized the children with the internal regulations, fire safety in the premises of educational buildings and dormitories of the Belarusian State Medical University. Each first-year student was given a memo, the requirements of regulatory documents governing the organization of the educational process at the university, the Moral and Ethical Code of the student, some articles of the Criminal Code and the Code on Administrative Violations were announced. During the meeting, first-year students were informed about student research societies, the opportunities that open up for them in the learning process, and also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rights and responsibilities of students.
The dean's office of the medical faculty for international students intends to help freshmen successfully adapt to the educational process, and future graduates - to prepare for the upcoming passing of the current and final certification.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Foreign students and their parents had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers.
