“Information technology in the pharmaceutical industry as a component of e-health”. This was the topic of the republican seminar, which took place at the end of the last working week via web-conference. The participants of this event, initiated by the Brest Republican Unitary Enterprise “Pharmacy”, were representatives of the Ministry of Health of Belarus, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Medical Technologies, various pharmaceutical organizations and enterprises of our country, teachers of the pharmaceutical faculties of the Belarusian State Medical University and Vitebsk State Medical University. Specialists of St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University and Smolensk State Medical University also shared their best practices with their Belarusian colleagues.
The Pharmaceutical Faculty of the Belarusian State Medical University was represented at the seminar by its dean - Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Natalia Gurina, as well as Head of the Department of Pharmacy Organization, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor Roman Lukashov, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Golyak, Deputy Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry for educational and methodological work, Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Anastasia Lishai.
The participants were focused on issues related to the prospects for the development of e-health in Belarus, the use of information technologies in pharmacy, the requirements of legislation in the field of information protection, improving the efficiency of pharmaceutical organizations, the use of electronic prescriptions and other relevant aspects.
During the discussion of the presented reports, the participants noted that information technologies can be successfully used in the analysis of the labor intensity in the work of a pharmacist, to optimize personnel management in a pharmaceutical organization, to improve the information system on the products of a pharmaceutical enterprise, to promote medicines and etc. The implementation is a call of the times, taking into account the need to develop e-health. However, one should not leave out of sight such an important point as the security of the information environment, which, to a certain extent, determines the quality of the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.
