The meeting of the leadership of the Holon Institute of Technology (Israel) and the Belarusian State Medical University took place on December 22 in an online format. Its participants were Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor David Shoikhet, Vice President for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, Dr. Raphael Barkan, Head of the Department of Digital Medical Technologies, Professor Yair Lampel. The Belarusian State Medical University was represented by Rector, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Vasili Roudenok, Chairman of the Board of Founders of LLC BelInter Media Service Furash, Head of the joint project of LLC BelInter Media Service and educational institutions 'Belarusian State Medical University ' Yulia Danovich.

Holon Institute of Technology is Israel's leading university in the field of information technology, which is a unique multidisciplinary academic institution with a scientific, technological and design focus. It includes the Faculty of Digital Medical Technology, whose graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a qualification in Digital Medical Technology. The curriculum includes sections on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Processing, Telemedicine, and Robotics.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss promising issues of academic and scientific interaction. The parties considered the possibility of signing an agreement on academic and scientific cooperation, the main areas of which will be academic and scientific cooperation in the field of IT medicine, the organization and holding of joint television and Internet conferences, seminars on IT medicine of mutual interest.
Academic cooperation between the two educational institutions can be realized mainly through joint training of specialists. The parties considered the possibility of obtaining a bachelor's degree in digital medical technologies at the Holon Institute of Technology, and further training in the framework of a 4-year educational program in the specialty 'general medicine' in English based on the USMLE International Standard of Medical Education at the Belarusian State Medical University.
It should be noted that in the modern world, the demand for IT-technologies in the medical field is growing rapidly and the development of cooperation in this area is the most important area for the Belarusian State Medical University. Holon Institute of Technology is one of the leaders in the field of training in the field of IT medicine. Therefore, special attention at the meeting was paid to the prospects of introducing sections of IT medicine into the curricula of the Belarusian State Medical University.
Having determined the main directions of bilateral interaction, the parties agreed to hold further meetings with the aim of a detailed discussion of the implementation of joint projects, and also expressed confidence in the development of effective mutually beneficial cooperation.
