The XIII Republican Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists with International Participation “Problems and Perspectives in the Development of Modern Medicine” was held not long ago at Gomel State Medical University. More than 850 students and young scientists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and other countries took part in this event. More than 500 reports were presented and covered almost all the scientific branches: obstetrics and gynecology, human anatomy, histology, cytology, embryology, anesthesiology and reanimatology, etc.
The section “Pathological Physiology” displayed the poster work of Vanessa Gutnik, a 5th year student of the Medical Faculty of Belarusian State Medical University, and Danuta Lepetilo, a 5th year student of the Pediatric Faculty. Their scientific advisers were Sergey Chepelev, senior lecturer at the Pathological Physiology Department of Belarusian State Medical University, and Margarita Dosina, leading researcher at Institute of Physiology of Belarusian National Academy of Sciences. The topic was “Research of antitumour activity of clonidine in experiment on transplanted cell culture of rat glioma C6 in vitro”. As a result, the jury awarded I degree diploma.
