The Institute of Dentistry of Samara State Medical University celebrates its 55th anniversary these days.
It should be noted that dental education at the university has been carried out since 1966. Its origins were well-known Russian scientists - professors Alexander Aminev, Maria Makienko, academician Alexander Krasnov, who created a comprehensive system of training for future dentists.
The Institute of Dentistry was reorganized in 1999 on the initiative of the President of the Samara State Medical University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Gennady Kotelnikov, as well as Honorary Professor of this university, Honored Doctor of Russia, Professor Igor Fedyaev, who headed a new structural unit for a decade and determined the directions and the prospects for its development.
On the occasion of the anniversary, solemn events were held. Their participants on behalf of BSMU were greeted by the rector - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich.
- The Institute of Dentistry of the Samara State Medical University has its own traditions, style of work, scientific directions and invaluable experience. It trains professionals who meet the latest requirements of modern medicine, - emphasized Sergey Rubnikovich. - The faculty and students of the institute are actively engaged in scientific research, participate in all-Russian and international conferences. Tomorrow's dentists are winning prizes in student research paper competitions, increasing the fame of Alma Mater.
