The development of cooperation with Holon Institute of Technology is one of the most promising vectors of international activities of Belarusian State Medical University. The main direction of academic interaction is planning joint training of specialists: obtaining a bachelor's degree in digital medical technologies at Holon Institute of Technology, and further training in the framework of a 4-year educational program in the specialty "General Medicine" in English based on the International Standard of Medical Education under the USMLE system at the Belarusian State Medical University.
The other day, an online working meeting with international partners from Holon Institute of Technology took place, which became the next stage in the implementation of a joint educational program. The leading medical university of Belarus was represented at the meeting by Rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich, First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Irina Moroz, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Rudenok, Head of educational department Natalya Fomchenko, Head of educational and methodological department Elena Belaya, head of Quality management department Irina Beresneva, as well as Chairman of the Board of Founders of BelInter Media Service LLC Naum Furash, Head of the joint project of BelInter Media Service LLC and educational institutions "Belarusian State Medical University" Yulia Danovich.
From the side of Holon Institute of Technology there were Vice President for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, Dr. Raphael Barkan, Head of the Department of Digital Technologies in Medicine, Professor Yair Lampel and Assistant to the President for External Relations Tony Levy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the issues of joint training of specialists within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding in the field of academic cooperation. In particular, the issue of curriculum and academic program approval was considered following its sending by the Israeli side. The next step will be to discuss and make adjustments by the working group of Belarusian State Medical University, which was created to work on the plan for the implementation of a joint educational project headed by First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Irina Moroz.
At the end of the event, an agreement was reached to hold new meetings in the near future, at which further implementation of joint programs will be considered.
