In mid-April, at the Medical Faculty for International Students, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, a meeting was held between the staff of the diplomatic mission with students-citizens of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Dean's office of the Medical Faculty for International Students of Belarusian State Medical University. The event was attended by the first secretary of the diplomatic mission Azimjon Abdullayev, First Secretary-Consul Khazhiakbar Vakhabov, Dean of the Medical Faculty for International Students, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleg Ishutin.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss a wide range of issues, including prevention of offenses among students, inspection of places of their temporary residence, as well as familiarization of students with the rules of stay in Belarus.
The Dean of the Faculty Oleg Ishutin touched upon the problems of academic performance, discipline of Uzbek students, their compliance with the rules of internal regulations at the university and the rules of residence in hostels. During the official conversation, the parties paid special attention to the organization of the educational process, in particular, the mastering of first stage educational programs of higher education and training in clinical residency.
The First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, Azimjon Abdullayev, brought to the attention of students the fundamental requirements of the Belarusian legislation in the field of migration policy, namely, the Rules for the stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Belarus, focusing on safety and compliance with traffic rules, informing about possible methods of embezzlement from bank cards and types of fraud in regard to bank card carriers, as well as the safety of personal property of Uzbek students.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. Students had the opportunity to ask questions to the staff of the diplomatic mission and the dean's office, as well as to receive comprehensive answers concerning the stay of foreign citizens in Belarus, the organization of the educational process at the university.
