A delegation of representatives of the healthcare system of Belarus under the leadership of the Minister of Health Dmitry Pinevich participated in the forum 'Healthy Society 2023', which was held on March 23-24 in the Tauride Palace of St. Petersburg. The delegation also included the Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich.
On March 23, the session 'Training of personnel meeting the challenges of modern healthcare' opened, at which Sergey Rubnikovich made a report along with other rectors of medical universities of CIS. The moderator of this event was the Deputy Minister of Health of Russia Tatyana Semenova.
Within the framework of the session, a Memorandum on academic cooperation between Belarusian State Medical University and International Medical University of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed. As expected, it was approved by the rectors of two universities – Doctors of medical Sciences, Professors Sergey Rubnikovich and Bolot Maykanaev.
The next item in Sergey Rubnikovich's work schedule was a visit to North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, with which the leading medical institution of higher education in Belarus has been fruitfully cooperating for a number of years in the academic and scientific fields. The Rector of BSMU met with his colleague, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Saiganov. The Vice-Rector for International Work and Projects of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov was also present at the talks. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Alexey Silin. During the communication, the prospects of academic and scientific cooperation of partner universities in the near future were discussed.
Then Sergey Rubnikovich visited the Museum of History of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, the Clinic of Dentistry, the Department of Osteopathy and other structural units of one of the largest Russian universities.
As noted on the Instagram page by the chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health of Russia on osteopathy in the North-West and North Caucasus Federal Districts, Secretary General of the Russian Osteopathic Association, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Osteopathic Journal, Professor of the Department of Osteopathy of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, MD Elena Tregubova that she thanked Sergey Rubnikovich for the visit, and her colleagues for the constructive dialogue, which, she hoped, would be continued.
