Alina Markova is the winner of the 77th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists at Samarkand State Medical University

On May 19-20, the 77th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy" was held in Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan) on the basis of the Samarkand State Medical University in a hybrid format (offline and online). It was attended by students and young scientists from medical universities and research centers both near and far abroad: Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Pakistan, Poland, Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus.

After the plenary session, the work of the international conference continued at 17 breakout sessions, where more than 550 speeches were heard on topical issues of such areas of medicine as public health, social disciplines in medicine, internal diseases, cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, sports medicine and rehabilitation, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology and reproductive medicine, surgery, urology, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, traumatology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases.

On the section "Infectious diseases. Phthisiology" scientific work "Analysis of clinical and laboratory parameters in patients with COVID-19 infection and the presence of venous thromboembolic complications", presented by 3rd-year student Alina Markova under the scientific supervision of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pathological Physiology Sergey Shepelev and Associate Professor of the Department of General Surgery, Candidate of Medical Sciences Nikolai Rogovoy was awarded a diploma of the I degree. This work was carried out within the framework of the GPNI "Translational Medicine" subprogram 4.2 "Fundamental aspects of medical science" on task 2.13 "To develop clinical and laboratory criteria for stratification of thrombosis risk in patients with COVID-19" (scientific supervisor of the task - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Hryschanovich, responsible executor - Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate Professor Nikolay Rogovoy).

The 77th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy" held by Samarkand State Medical University served as an excellent occasion to discuss fundamental and clinical aspects on topical issues of medicine, contributed to the fruitful exchange of experience and practice, as well as the acquisition of new acquaintances and the development of international cooperation among medical universities and specialized organizations.
