On November 30, 2018 a delegation from the International Association on Education in Eurasia and America visited the Belarusian State Medical University. The delegation included Mr. Yan Fei, Head of LLC Amy International, Ms. Wang Schao Mun, Assistant Head of the Association (France) Mr. Jia Fangzhou, Assistant Head of LLC Amy International Anastasia Gunduz, as well as customer service specialists Vitaly Mirgolovsky and Chen Ibo.
The delegation was received by the Rector of the University Anatol V. Sikorsky. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Vasili V. Rudenok, Dean of the Medical faculty of foreign students Oleg S. Ishutin, Dean of the Faculty of career guidance and pre-university training Aram R. Avetisov and Head of the Department of foreign languages Marina N. Petrova.
University Rector Anatol V. Sikorsky familiarized the guests with the structure, educational process, organization of educational and scientific activities of the university, presented the guests information about faculties and specifics of foreign students at the university, outlined that medical practice and dentistry are the most popular specialties among foreign citizens and also spoke about the possibility of obtaining information about academic performance, about attending lectures, seminars and practical classes for students on the official website of the Belarusian State Medical University.
During the official meeting, the parties discussed issues relating to the learning process, educational exchange, organization of higher medical education in the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus, the possibility of holding joint Internet conferences, scientific and practical conferences, seminars and symposia on topical issues of medicine.
The university's rector Anatol V. Sikorsky noted that at the Belarusian State Medical University the number of students from China is growing every year. The students have proved themselves to be hardworking and ambitious.
The guests from the People's Republic of China thanked Anatol V. Sikorsky for organizing the meeting and for providing detailed information about the university. They also spoke about their activities in the field of education abroad.
The Chinese side has indicated interest in developing cooperation in the field of specialists’ training for practical health care, as well as in the fields of dentistry, medical care, and pediatrics. It was proposed to organize Russian language training for Chinese citizens at the Belarusian State Medical University. They also discussed the possibility of organizing lectures in biology, chemistry and other main areas in China, which are necessary to prepare for admission to the Belarusian State Medical University and the possibility of opening a Chinese center of traditional medicine in Minsk.
Anatol V. Sikorsky welcomed the initiative of the Chinese side suggesting, in turn to accept applicants from China to study at the Faculty of career guidance and pre-university training.
Anatol V. Sikorsky noted that this so-called university tourism has worked well in cooperation with India, and therefore can be applied to Chinese citizens. University rector Anatol V. Sikorsky also noted the effectiveness of advertising and information companies abroad using the media of a foreign state to popularize educational services of our country in general and Belarusian State Medical University in particular.
Members of the delegation of the People’s Republic of China also positively assessed the proposed areas of cooperation, expressing hope for deepening bilateral partnerships.
After discussing mutual areas of interest, the parties agreed on further cooperation in science, education and culture.
After the official meeting, guests from the People’s Republic of China were given a tour of the university, the anatomical museum and the practical training laboratory.
At the end of the meeting, the guests thanked the university rector for hospitality and the organization of a warm welcome.
In turn Anatol V. Sikorsky also thanked the guests for the visit, expressing hope of establishing long-term fruitful cooperation with the People's Republic of China. Both sides exchanged memorable souvenirs.
