The team of young obstetricians-gynecologists of the 5th and 6th courses of BSMU Faculty of General Medicine took part in the IV Republican Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which was held on April 29-30 in Gomel. In total, 4 teams took part (from each medical university of the Republic of Belarus).
The theoretical stage of the Olympiad was held on April 29, where teams fought for primacy in “Test Quiz”, “Situational Challenge” and “Photo Challenge” competitions.
On April 30 as part of the practical part of competition, teams were offered clinical situations where participants had to demonstrate their ability to act quickly and correctly.
During all days of the competition, the work of the teams was evaluated by the jury members represented by teachers of the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology from medical universities. From our university, the members of the Judicial Commission included Assistant Natalia N.Rubakhova and Associate Professor Lyudmila N.Vasilyeva.
According to the results of the Olympiad I degree diploma was taken by Kseniya Bondarenko for the competition “Situational Challenge” for the 6th year students.
In the individual competition (the maximum number of points on the basis of all competitions), I degree diploma was also won by Kseniya Bondarenko (6 course), and III degree diploma by Victoria Pankratova (6 course).
According to the results of the team classification BSMU team took 2nd place.
