The meeting of the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor V.Karpenko, the leadership, staff and teachers of the higher education institutions of Minsk took place.
The delegation of the Belarusian State Medical University, headed by the University's rector Anatol V.Sikorsky, actively participated in the meeting with the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan. The event was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Vasili V.Rudenok, Dean of the Medical Faculty of Foreign Students Oleg S.Ishutin, Deputy Head of the Faculty of General Medicine Marina A.Savchenko.
During the conversation, the main directions of innovative development of health care and medical education in the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus, promising areas of bilateral educational, scientific and humanitarian cooperation were identified.
For the Belarusian State Medical University, the development of bilateral Belarusian-Armenian cooperation in the fields of science, health care and higher medical education, including the training of highly qualified medical personnel for the Republic of Armenia, is of particular interest.
During the official meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing scientific and academic cooperation with higher medical educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as issues relating to the training process, educational exchange, the possibility of holding joint scientific and practical conferences, workshops and symposia on topical issues of medicine with the participation of lecturers from Republic of Armenia.
The meeting was held in a friendly business atmosphere, where everyone had the opportunity to ask his question directly to the head of state - President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan, and to receive a comprehensive answer at the highest level.
Such meetings undoubtedly contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Belarus.
