Diwali festival in India is the main Indian holiday. Diwali is celebrated as the "Festival of Lights", which symbolizes the victory of good over evil. As a sign of this victory, candles and lanterns are lit everywhere.
On October 28, the Diwali holiday was held at the Belarusian State Medical University, which was celebrated by students from India, Sri Lanka and other countries, the leadership, employees of the university, as well as the organizers of this event - representatives of the company Milemir LLC. Curators of foreign students community and group curators - teachers of the department of Belarusian and Russian languages presented with the students for the whole evening.
Vice-rector for international relations Vasili V. Rudenok, Vice-rector for educational work Pavel V. Markautsan, Dean of the medical faculty for international students Oleg S Ishutin, Deputy dean Yevgeny A. Chernous and Head of the company Milemir LLC Dr. Sah Rama Shankar welcomed the audience.
By tradition, Diwali is not complete without music, dances and songs. The audience was presented with musical compositions and creative performances of talented Indian and Sri Lankan students who demonstrated their vocal, choreographic and even artistic abilities.
Diwali holiday allowed to plunge into the bright and diverse world of India, to join the culture of this incredible and mysterious country. The atmosphere of kindness and bright joy rallied students from different countries even more, gave them unforgettable and pleasant moments of student life.
