International professional cooperation between the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of the Belarusian State Medical University and related departments of Russian medical universities is actively developing.
The head of the department, professor Sergey Denisov is the member of the All-Russian academic and methodological commission on Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery, as well as the member of the editorial board of the journal “Operational Surgery and Clinical Anatomy”.
At the latest meeting of the academic and methodological commission held at the Sechenov University (Russia) in late September most topical issues concerning educational process were discussed, such as the use of a rating system for assessing students' knowledge, teaching the anatomy, etc.
The meeting of the academic and methodological commission was a part of the program of the 10th International Symposium on Clinical and Applied Anatomy where participated the experts from all around the world. Most of reports were devoted to the latest technologies of teaching clinical anatomy, as well as scientific achievements in the field of topographic anatomy and operative surgery. The delegates also paid special attention to the development of 3D technologies, the use of the results of endoscopy, ultrasound diagnostics, tomography, etc.
