National scientific-practical school-seminar for laboratory assistants entitled “Selected Issues of Dermatopathology in the Pathologist’s Practice” was held on April 14-15 as part of celebration of the 100th anniversary of Belarusian State Medical University. The event was arranged with the help of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus by the Pathological Anatomy Department of Belarusian State Medical University and the members of Belarusian Scientific Society of Pathologists of the Republic of Belarus.
Rector Sergey P. Rubnikovich and Associate Professor of the Pathological Anatomy Department Tatiana A. Bich congratulated the participants on the opening of the school-seminar.
Pathologists, dermatologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, dentists and speakers from the Russian Federation took part in this event. The reports were presented by Irina Kletskaya – Pathologist at the Pathological Anatomy Department of Russian Pediatric Clinical Hospital (Moscow), Professor Alexander Lukyanov – Chief Researcher of the Reconstructive Surgery and Oncomammology Laboratory at Alexandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Medical and Surgical Rehabilitation, Professor Pavel Kiselev – Pathologist at the Pathological Anatomy Department of Alexandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Medical and Forensic Surgery, Yuri Rogov – Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery in Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Associate Professor Tatiana Bich – Chief Supervising Pathologist in Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Anna Rutkovskaya – Associate Professor at the 1st Therapeutic Department of Stomatology, BSMU, Julia Kuzmenko-Moskvina – Pathologist at the Pathological Anatomy Department of “Republican Clinical Medical Centre”(GU “RKMZ”), Taisia Mikhalevskaya – Head of Molecular Genetics Laboratory at the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Pediatric Oncology, Haematology and Immunology, Elena Milishkevich – Oncologist-Surgeon, Professor Piotr Rusakevich – Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
The reports covered the diagnosis of melanocytic skin neoplasms, lymphoproliferative skin diseases, inflammatory dermatoses, oral and genital mucosal pathologies and problems of interdisciplinary interaction. Three slide-seminars with demonstration of clinical cases of melanocytic neoplasms (Irina Kletskaya), inflammatory dermatoses (Tatiana Bich), lymphoproliferative skin diseases (Alexander Lukyanov, Pavel Kiselyov) were held.
The information presented at the school-seminar made it possible to find answers to many questions. The knowledge obtained will be applied in practical work of all involved doctors in the diagnosis of various non-tumour and tumour diseases of skin and mucous membranes.
