Within the framework of the International specialized exhibition «Healthcare of Belarus - 2021», which was held in Minsk from May 18 to May 21, the Executive Director of the innovative company Pivot Pharmacy Limited Henry Nwankwo (Federal Republic of Nigeria) visited Belarusian State Medical University. The purpose of his visit was to discuss issues of cooperation in the field of teaching students from Nigeria.
The foreign guest was received by the rector of the educational institution, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Roudenok.
Sergey Rubnikovich made a presentation on the history, structure, educational and scientific activities of Belarusian State Medical University, the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process. During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues related to the learning process, systems of organizing higher medical education in the Republic of Belarus, rules for admission to institutions of higher medical education, conducting an introductory campaign, as well as aspects of interaction regarding the direction of citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to study at Belarusian State Medical University in the specialties of the 1st and 2nd stages of higher education, clinical residency.
After the official conversation, a tour of the university, the anatomical museum, and the laboratory for practical training was held.
At the end of his stay at BSMU, the executive director of the innovative company Pivot Pharmacy Limited, Henry Nwankwo, thanked the university leadership for the hospitality and organization of a warm welcome.
