On October 11-12, 2018 Network on the Coordination and Harmonization of European Occupational Cohorts (OMEGA-NET) Working group meeting was held in Porto (Portugal). Working group meeting was organized and assisted by the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) and the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) within the framework of the program “Horizon 2020”.
The meeting was attended by more than 90 experts from 32 countries, including Andrei V. Hindziuk the Dean of The Faculty of Preventive Medicine of the educational institution “Belarusian State Medical University”.
Researchers at the meeting discussed modern databases on employment and impact of the working environment and labor process on human health, as well as development of subregional cooperation and harmonization of occupational exposure assessment efforts.
To sum up the results of the meeting, Andrei V. Hindziuk became a member of the OMEGA-NET Organizing Committee in order to foster further development of international cooperation in this COST area with countries of near and far abroad.
