From October 29 to November 22, 2018 contest “First-year student card” was held at the Department of the Belarusian and Russian languages. Teachers of the department familiarized foreign and domestic first-year students with the requirements and conditions of the competition, suggested ideas that could be used.
The participants reviewed the works of the past years and were actively involved in the creative process.
Working on a joint poster, the students showed their abilities, declared their interests, got to know each other better, learned how to solve tasks collectively. Communicating in a relaxed atmosphere, the guys developed skills and strengthened their skills in learning Russian. Friendly communication and a pleasant emotional mood contributed to the unity of the group team.
In this academic year, domestic students from group 2102 of the Pediatric faculty and group 5113 of praparatory department for foreign students also took part in the competition.
21 work was exhibited in the hall of the main building of Belarusian State Medical University.
Independent jury composed of Vice-Rector for academic and educational Work Pavel V. Markautsan, Dean of the Medical faculty for foreign students Oleg S..Ishutin, Deputy Deans for educational work Yulia S.Lukerchik, Larisa E.Alekhina, stage director of student's club A.Chugunova looked at the exhibited works and identified places. According to the voting results, the works were evaluated as follows:
1st place – English language group 6111, group 5113 of the preparatory department;
2nd place - English language group 6125;
3rd place – group 6108.
Group 6123 was recognized as the best in the nomination "For the vivid manifestation of the national color, meticulous work and interesting idea."
The contest contributes to the disclosure and development of the student’s creative abilities, unites them in groups, forms cooperation skills and communication among students of different nationalities.
