On March 13-16, 2019 the Kursk State Medical University (Kursk, Russian Federation) hosted the IV International Practical Olympiad on Emergency care. The majority of the participants were represented by the “home teams” of the Russian Federation. However, the Olympiad also brought together the teams from Ukraine, Belarus and other countries. In the conditions of tough competition with the strongest teams “Minsk Zorki” managed to represent the Belarusian State Medical University in a greatest manner. The guys returned to their Alma Mater with a victory in the category “Emergency Medical Aid”.
The Olympiad is in the TOP 5 of the most popular Contests of the Russian Federation in the field of medicine. In 2019 Kursk hosted 140 participants of the Olympiad, 77 actors of mass training, 17 patient actors, 50 organizers and volunteers-consultants.

Mass training in the area of emergency (bus explosion on the highway).
Thanks to the organizers the Olympiad participants had the opportunity to take part not only in the competition, but also attend workshops, participate in the practical courses, and listen to lectures in the field of emergency medicine.
The team “Minsk Zorki” demonstrated their professional skills in the competitions “Nursing Manipulations” and “Incidents in the Emergency Zone”: Almost perfect performance in these contests was the key to winning in the category “Emergency Medical Aid”.
According to the results of the Olympiad Rector of the Kursk State Medical University (International Cooperation partner of the Belarusian State Medical University), professor V.А. Lazarenko awarded the team “Minsk Zorki” a letter of gratitude to the rector of the Belarusian State Medical University A.V. Sikorski for the participation of BSMU team in the IV International Practical Olympiad on Emergency care.
The administration of the Belarusian State Medical University sincerely congratulates the students of the Faculty of General Medicine – members of the team “Minsk Zorki” who won the prestigious international competition.
The University also expresses its gratitude to the leadership of the Kursk State Medical University and personally the rector, professor V.А. Lazarenko for the guidance of the Belarusian team during the Olympiad.
