On December 11, 2018 the Belarusian State Medical University was visited by a delegation of the Ukrainian-Chinese Center of Culture and Education consisting of the Director General of the Center Wei Limin and the Director of the Center Valery Marchenko.
The delegation was received by Vice-Rector for International Relations Vasili V.Rudenok. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational work Pavel V. Markautsan.
The Ukrainian-Chinese Center of Culture and Education is a company designed to meet the needs of the population in various kinds of services, consumer goods, research, industrial, agricultural, industrial and technical products; to encourage the development of investment activities, market relations, international economic and technical cooperation, infrastructure.
The main activity is to develop cooperation in the field of culture and education between Ukraine and China.
Promoting the “One Belt One Road” China's initiative, the Ukrainian-Chinese Center of Culture and Education together with universities of the Republic of Belarus and China plans to hold an “International Forum on Culture and Education” with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The purpose of the forum is to deepen cooperation between two countries (Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China) in the educational sphere.
The main purpose of the visit to the Belarusian State Medical University was to discuss the possibility of establishing academic and scientific cooperation between the Belarusian State Medical University and the universities of China, as well as the issues on holding of the abovementioned forum.
Vasili V. Rudenok acquainted the guests with the structure, educational process, organization of educational and scientific activities of the university, presented the guests information about the existing faculties and the specifics of teaching foreign citizens at the university.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues relating to the educational process, academic exchange, systems of organization of higher medical education in the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus.
Vasili V. Rudenok noted that, taking into account the positive experience of training Chinese specialists, the Belarusian State Medical University is interested in increasing the number of students from China.
In the framework of the International Forum on Culture and Education, it is planned to hold talks with interested representatives of subject oriented universities in China in order to establish academic and scientific cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the guests thanked Vice-Rector for International Relations Vasili V.Rudenok and the Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational work Pavel V. Markautsan for hospitality and organization of a warm welcome.
