History

Systematic training of foreigners at the institute began in 1973, when students arrived from Jordan, Syria, Rwanda, Ecuador, Mali, Tanzania, Sudan, Bulgaria. Only 12 people. Today, university graduates work in 101 countries of the world.

In 1974, a Russian language course was created. From this moment the history of the department of the Belarusian and Russian languages ​​begins. And in 1975 the department of the Russian language was created. For many years (from 1974 to 1999) Associate Professor Alla Vladimirovna Sannikova was the head.

A great contribution to the development and formation of the department was made by teachers: Gladysheva Maria Konstantinovna, Gubar Maria Leontievna, Minetskaya Valentina Apollinarievna, Sharapa Alla Anatolyevna, Lyudchik Nella Nikolaevna, Sakhankova Zinaida Nikolaevna.

In 1990, a preparatory department for foreign students was opened at the department. From 1999 to 2006, the head of the preparatory department was Alla Vladimirovna Sannikova, from 2006 to the present - senior teacher Lyudmila Alexandrovna Merenkova. The senior lecturer Lyudmila Boleslavovna Yaros is responsible for the methodological work at the preparatory department.

From 1999 to 2006, the department was headed by the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Galina Nikolaevna Aksenova, from 2006 to 2015 - the candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Valery Vladimirovich Bely.

  

From 2015 to the present, the department is headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences Associate Professor Melnikova Tatyana Nikolaevna.

For the citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the preparatory department was created in 1969. From 1992 to 2005, the head was the senior teacher Inessa Nikolaevna Sokolova. From 2005 to the present - senior teacher Yakimova Elena Fedorovna.

Since 1997, the teaching of the Belarusian language was introduced at the department, and the unit became known as the Department of the Belarusian and Russian languages. Matveeva Natalia Georgievna, Klimovets Olga Pavlovna, Ratynskaya Natalia Valerianovna, Polyak Tatyana Leontievna made a great contribution to the development of the preparatory department for Belarusian students.

The department has a good educational base and modern technical equipment, was awarded certificates and diplomas of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, is a member of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, a member of the Belarusian Public Association of Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language and the Belarusian Public Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.
