Groups consist of 8-10 people. The students study Normal Anatomy and Histology, Cytology and Embryology, General and Bioorganic Chemistry, Biology and General Medical Genetics, Normal Physiology and Biochemistry. A highly qualified teaching staff of theoretical departments of the University provides the teaching of basic medical sciences at a high scientific and technological level. Along with medical and biological subjects the students study Russian and Latin.

In the third and fourth years the students study clinical disciplines: Pathological Physiology and Pathological Anatomy, Microbiology and Pharmacology, General Surgery and Internal Medicine, Propaedeutics, General Hygiene, etc. The foundation for future professional activity is laid at clinics and hospitals, where classes are held in groups with the native speakers of Russian. International students are surrounded by care and attention not only by professors and assistant professors, but by their classmates – Belarusian students.

During the 5th-6th years education is aimed at building and developing knowledge and skills of a specialist. Students study internal and surgical diseases, pediatrics and ophthalmology, diseases of the ear, nose and throat, infectious and tropical diseases, psychiatry, etc. All students have the opportunity to be in direct contact with patients, participate in clinical rounds and consultations, take part in medical diagnostic procedures and be present in the operating room.

Future dentists have the opportunity to have practical training from the 3d year onwards.

Scientific schools, experienced teachers and the established traditions in training foreign citizens allow our University to provide high quality of medical education.

For self-training students have the opportunity to work on their own in the reading room of the University library, in computer classes and student scientific circles. Every year they participate in student scientific conferences. In the summer they have practical training at health care facilities of Minsk. Graduates have the opportunity to continue their education in clinical residency.

The graduates are awarded diplomas of an international standard, one page of which is made in English with the title «MD» - Medical Doctor. The number of hours and the grades received in the subjects studied are indicated in the Supplement to the Diploma. These records are compared with the national University curriculum in the graduate’s home country for diploma verification and examination for confirmation of the obtained qualification.

Studying at the University is the most interesting and memorable period of life of every student. Any student can participate in the students’ theater and art contests; competitions and amateur sporting events make the life of international students brighter and richer.
